A Bulldog. A Bond. A Promise.
How Tobey Crafted began — with one sensitive soul and his dad.
It’s just Tobey and me.
Our Story
I never planned to start a dog company. But then came Tobey- my wrinkly, stubborn, sensitive bulldog with a loud growl and an even louder heart; and everything changed.
He was born with pulmonic stenosis, so he needed extra care from day one. But it didn’t stop there. As he grew, the list of symptoms grew with him: joint pain, scary allergic reactions, hives, rashes, GI flares, hot spots, surgeries—the works.
Trying to figure out what was safe to feed him was heartbreaking. I felt helpless. But I made a promise the day I brought him home: no matter what, I’d be his person.
When nothing worked, I went back to the beginning.
Raw food gave him hives. Freeze-dried meats triggered rashes. Hypoallergenic treats crumbled into powder made his skin worse. So I started making something different in my own kitchen, slowly, by hand, one batch at a time.
The Shift Toward Herbs
Before I made anything for Tobey, I used herbs for myself, liver support, skin health, and kidney balance. Herbs were the steady, gentle tools that made a real difference in my own body.
So it only made sense to bring them into his.
But herbs can’t just be “sprinkled” on top and hoped for the best. Sensitive dogs need structure. They need predictability. They need a base that supports digestion and absorption without overwhelming their system.
That’s where Crunch n’ Care™ was born.
The Creation of Crunch n’ Care™
Tobey didn’t just need a treat. He needed a foundation, something his body could rely on, day after day. So I built one: a gut-friendly, whole-food, herb-ready base made from quinoa, oat fibre, fresh-ground pumpkin seed meal, konjac, allergy-friendly pork gelatin, and a little coconut oil.
This base lets me slow-infuse herbal formulas; calming, digestive, detoxifying, mineral-rich, right into the food itself.
Low and slow drying protects the herbal compounds.
Vacuum sealing locks them in.
Every single Crunchie starts here.
What Keeps Me Going
I made these snacks for Tobey.
I share them for dogs like yours.
I know what it’s like to live with a dog who’s “hard to feed.”
One who can’t tolerate the usual formulas.
One who’s misunderstood, reactive, sensitive, or just different.
Seeing any dog suffer is unbearable to me. Seeing my own dog suffer was what pushed me—day after day—to keep experimenting, keep refining, keep learning, keep baking.
Tobey is the reason I started.
Your dog might be the reason I keep going.
Thanks for being here.
I’m truly glad you found us.
